Amol Anand Patil, is the Product Manager-Admixture System (South Asia) in BASF India limited. He has obtained his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and Master Degree in Structural Engineering from Mumbai University. He has more than 15 years of work experience in Concrete Industries and Execution of Infra projects. Worked as a Project Manager in Gammon India Limited for 4 years in Bridges and Highway Construction and having experience in Well foundation, launching Pre-stress Girder and CLC Post Tension Construction. During the last 11 years, he has held various positions in BASF mainly supporting admixtures system to work in sales ,Marketing and Research & development.. He has presented technical paper in various national and international conferences.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) in 2019, followed by a Master's in Construction Technology and Management at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2023. My Master's thesis focused on the durability properties of binary and ternary blended cementitious mortar. After graduation, I worked as an Engineer - quantity surveyor at Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. My primary research interest lies in the development of sustainable construction materials, particularly those derived from agro-based residues.
Athira V S did her Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from LBS Institute of Technology for Women (LBSITW), Kerala. She completed her ME in Structural Engineering from BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus. Further, she worked as Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai for a year. She has worked on alternative cementitious materials, alkali-activated binders, and in the development of Textile Reinforced Concrete during her post-graduation and working period. Her research interest is in CO2 curing and sequestration in heritage materials.
Dhiraj S. Mahajan, is from Malegaon, Maharashtra. He has completed bachelor in Civil Engineering from D Y Patil College of Engineering (DYPCOE), Akurdi , Pune, Maharashtra. He has completed Master of Technology in Construction Technology and Management from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur, Maharashtra.He worked on Pozzolanic Properties of Binary and Ternary Cementitious Blends during his masters. His research interest is in Construction materials, use of industrial waste in construction based materials to achieve sustainable construction.
Gayathri. K.S. has completed M.Tech. Structural and Construction Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, and B.E.Civil from Anna University. She worked as an Assistant Professor at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering, Coimbatore for 1 year and as an Ad-hoc faculty at NSS College of Engineering, Kerala for 2 years. Later, she joined Development Alternatives, New Delhi, and worked on a collaborative project on Limestone Calcined Clay cements funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation. She joined for PhD in CTaM division, IITB under the supervision of Prof.Muhammad Salman. Her research area focuses on the utilization and valorization of industrial by-products in concrete applications.
Gurunandan M obtained his B.E. in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Structural Engineering, both from R V College of Engineering, Bengaluru under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. After graduation, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru for nine months before joining CTaM division of Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay as a full-time research scholar. His broad research interests include alternative/sustainable construction materials sourced from industrial byproducts, characterization of construction materials and materials for 3D printing of civil structures. Desire to learn and curiosity to explore the field of construction materials led him to pursue research. To become an ardent academician, actively involve in research to solve engineering problems and establish a research-based enterprise in civil engineering domain are his career goals.
Harshit Agrawal is from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He has completed his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the IIT Indore in 2021. He developed a keen interest in research during his undergraduate studies. He joined IIT Bombay for his Ph.D. in the year 2021. His current research area is Corrosion, under the guidance of Professor Muhammad Salman.
Mahendra Suthar, has completed B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from U V Patel college of engineering (Mehsana, Gujarat) in May 2020 and completed M. Tech. in Civil Engineering (Urban Infrastructure) in June 2022 from Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research, And Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He pursued his M. Tech. dissertation project titled "Application of Water Dispersed Nano Materials for Development of Sustainable Concrete". Further, for nine months, he had been working on an material testing project as a project assistant to understand the effect of admixture on the strength and durability properties of concrete, including the self-healing characteristics of concrete. During his M. Tech. dissertation work and the duration of an industrial project, he had the opportunity to gain valuable work experience performing various tests on cement paste, mortar, and concrete, such as fresh properties, mechanical properties, durability, and microstructure investigation of concrete. He is interested in working on 3D printing technology for rapid and sustainable construction and development of infrastructure. After joining the CTaM division of the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay as a full-time research scholar, he worked on alkali-activated 3D-printing concrete with recycled concrete aggregates.
Saqib Rashid completed his bachelor's degree from Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, and his M. Tech in Construction Engineering and Project Management from Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. He worked as a project associate at the Building Technology and Construction Management group at IIT Madras, where he was involved in projects related to building automation and 3D Concrete Printing. He joined IITB to pursue a PhD. His research areas include the decarbonization of the construction sector and the life cycle assessment of construction materials.
Shipin Prakash obtained his B-Tech in Civil Engineering from NSS College of Engineering Palakkad Kerala and MTech in Construction Technology And Management from NIT Surathkal. He was also a recipient of Central Sector Scholarship during his under graduate degree. Prior to joining IITB as a research scholar, he worked as Assistant Professor at Malabar Institute of Technology Kannur Kerala and as an adhoc faculty at Government College of Engineering Kannur Kerala. His research areas include sustainable building design and durability aspects of construction materials.
Sudheer is from Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh. He completed his Bachelor’s degree (Civil Engg.) from S.R.K.R.Engineering College, Bhimavaram and Master's degree(Const. Tech & Mgmt.) from NITK, Surathkal. He worked for 4 years in L&T Construction as a Planning Engineer. He then joined as a research assistant for IIT Madras & Inst. for Lean Const. Excellence (ILCE) in their Lean Training & Implementation Programme-2019. He joined as Ph.D. student in IITB in July,2019.
He is interested on utilising automation, mechanization and computation to help humans construct better. His current research focuses on utilising Ergonomics and Machine Learning for the same purpose.
Prashant Devda, belongs from JOBAT (Alirajpur), a small town in Madhya Pradesh. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering from Medicaps Institute of Science and Technology Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He then pursued his Master Of Technology (M.Tech.) in Construction Technology and Management from Visvesvaraya National Institute Of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur, Maharashtra. His master’s thesis was based on the Feasibility Analysis of Geopolymer Fly-Ash Coarse Aggregate for Construction Purpose. After Post Graduation, he worked as an Assistant Professor in a Private Institute in Gujarat for one year. He developed an interest in research work during his M-tech which helped him to pursue Ph.D. in IIT Bombay. His research interest is in construction materials, use of industrial residues in construction based material to achieve sustainable construction, Concrete technology, etc.
Samarjeet Salunke has done his Bachelors's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Solapur in the year 2017. Then pursued his MTech degree in Geoinformatics from CEPT University Ahmedabad. Later being a GIS Project Associate he gained 17 months of industrial experience in the integration of GIS and Building permission applications. Further, he worked as a Research Associate at CEPT Research Development and Foundation. He has developed skills and knowledge in the geospatial domain and its application. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Construction Technology and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
Mr. Prashanth Kumar Sreram has completed B.E (Hons.) Civil Engineering from BITS-Pilani, Pilani Campus in 2005. Through L&T’s Build India Scholarship, he pursued his M.tech in Construction Technology and Management at IIT Madras and passed out in 2007, with placement in L&T Construction Division where he worked for 11 years covering contracts & claims management, site planning, and project controls departments of L&T Construction Building & Factories IC’s two prestigious projects Delhi Airport and Hyderabad Metro respectively. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, US since 2017. With interest in academics and research interest, he joined NICMAR-Hyderabad campus and started his teaching career in 2018 with courses in project management and currently pursuing his doctoral studies at IIT Bombay under the guidance of Prof. Albert Thomas
Smitha J.S. is a civil engineer and teacher who lives in Kamothe, Navi Mumbai. She has completed M.E. in Construction Engineering and Management from Mumbai University (2018) and B Tech in Civil Engineering from College of Engineering Trivandrum, Kerala University (1999). Currently working with Pillai HOCL College of Engg & Tech, Rasayani. She has worked in the construction industry for builders like Oberoi Constructions Pratibha Industries, in contracts, estimation and project management. Soneji Jeetu P has obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering from Faculty of Technology, Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad, Gujarat, India. He has obtained his Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Civil Engineering with specialization in Building Technology and Construction Management division from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. In M.Tech, his work was on quantification of public inconvenience during construction of urban road infrastructure projects. He has industrial experience of four years and currently for past four years (as on July 2017) he is associated with academia.

Vidhulekha Tiwari is a PhD Research Scholar at the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. She is currently working on Activity Time Use and Household Energy Modelling under the supervision of Prof Arnab Jana and Prof Santanu Bandyopadhyay. She has a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from School of Planning and Architecture Bhopal, and a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Government Engineering College Rewa. She has previously worked in Urban Land Governance as Researcher with Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). Her area of interest is data-driven Urban Planning techniques.
Vallary Gupta has completed her Bachelor's in Architecture from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. She then pursued a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from SPA Bhopal. Before joining IITB as a research scholar, she worked as a young professional with the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), a multi-stakeholder global partnership. Vallary has received the Proficiency Gold Medal during both her Bachelor's and Master's programs. Her areas of research include energy efficiency in buildings, building energy modeling, thermal comfort, appliance efficiency, and occupant behaviour.
Vipul Parmar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, with around three years of professional experience.
